I see a read failure in the extended offline test, but no LBA address. From what I've read, I would need this information to fix the bad sector. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?

First run another extended SMART test and see if it fails as well. This has the makings of a failing drive. Its not 2 years old if you run 24/7 so if you can RMA it now, do it.

I have one old White Label Enterprise doing this same thing, its the oldest one I have @ 40,000 hours and is long out of warranty. It squawks once in awhile and im watching for it to get worse. But its still chugging along. It hasnt failed a smart test yet.

Selective self-test flags (0x0):
After scanning selected spans, do NOT read-scan remainder of disk.
If Selective self-test is pending on power-up, resume after 0 minute delay.

You do have some awefully weird numbers there though, I dont remember seeing Seek-Error being so high, might be naturally larger because of the size. Ive never had a drive larger than 6TB yet. Power on hours, Reallocated, pending and Offline_Uncorrectable sectors were always the ones to watch for. Lots of those other numbers look very strange. ECC recovered etc..

I usually let mine go at this point and have a drive at the ready, it will get kicked out of the pool eventually, when the pool goes to unhealthy then ill replace/resilver that booted drive with a tested clean drive. However, I run Z3 though so you may not want to dilly dally. I prefer to get every minute from these drives especially once out of warranty. Ill RMA at the first hint of trouble all my other drives.

Thanks for the responses. I'm currently running another extended SMART test. It takes a while to run due to the size, but I'll post the results once complete. Hopefully it shows better results. I'm thinking the next step if the SMART test results don't provide any additional information, I'll pull the drive and run a full surface scan. Then I'll put the drive back in and run another SMART test and see what happens.

You can also run badblocks (destructive) on this drive just to see what comes out.
But I guess, since the drive already has 8 offline sectors it will only get worse... (maybe not right away but it's already a good indication for a failing drive).
I would see to RMA the drive...
