Did I read the SMART results wrong? To me, it doesn't look like anything is wrong with this drive.

According to
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T.#Known_ATA_S.M.A.R.T._attributes
this denotes a Critical attribute (may predict drive failure).

Code:
Num Test_Description	Status Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error

# 2 Extended offline	Completed without error 00% 134 -
# 3 Extended offline	Completed without error 00% 119 -

Seems like regular S.M.A.R.T. tests are not configured.

How old are these drives? This drives haven't been tested in over 75 days. You should be testing them every other week and have email notifications setup so you know when it fails.

This system is relatively new (all new drives). Might be 3 months old?

SMART is configured to perform a long test on the first of each month, but I see what you mean about it not being a run in a while. This is consistent across all of my disks. Looks like since I upgraded to FN11 it has not run once. Further when I attempted, just now to re-create the task is failed, might be a bug.

What did you upgrade from? How are your tests configured? Have a screenshot? Probably worthy of a bug.

I was originally on 9.10 -> 11.0 -->11.u1 --> 11.u2

I would like to get a screenshot but since I had the traceback above I am unable to access the classic or the new UI. At this point, I am not going to touch it until I get a replacement drive and the Re-Silver completes.

Did you try to create the task on the failed drive or a good drive?

Both - For all of my drives
I'm trying to figure out how to reproduce your problem and you are not making it easy.

Did you select all the drives? Or did you select just the bad drive? Or just a good drive? Describe what you did.

Sorry, I see.

I went to create a new SMART Task
I selected all of my Hard Drives including the bad drive. 6 Drives in total.
Long Test
Runs every 4 hours
Every Day
Every Month
Click Save/OK - It thought for a few seconds and then I received the error posted above.

I don't think this should cause a traceback, but a long SMART test on your drives is going to take at least 12 hours. I wouldn't schedule them more often than once a week.

I let the scrub that was in progress finish.
Shutdown the System.
Replaced the drive.
Booted up.
Replaced the failed drive via the UI and am now Resilvering.

Resilvering is going at about 40M/s and at that pace will take about 8.5 days. Does that seem right?

I believe, Resilvering progresses slowly while the pool has redundancy so as to not affect performance or overly load the array.

If another drive were to 'fail', it'd begin racing along at full speed.

Also it speeds up after a few minutes. Have you checked it recently?

Ignore the resilver speed it doesn't mean anything.
