SOLVED Dashboard reordering does not stick

On my Mini R running TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.3.3, when I reorder widgets in the top-level dashboard, they mysteriously revert after a short while. It kinda looks like there's a ten-second repeating timer that starts when I click the "Reorder" button that just undoes my changes. Mostly... apparently some changes stick sometimes; right now, my network interface widget is first and refuses to stay moved.

I've tried saving, not saving, dragging to and from, disabling and re-enabling widgets. Nothing helps. Is there some kind of reset procedure that might get rid of my gremlin? Or is there an API or command-line tool I can try instead?

I can provide a screen recording if my description is unclear. And obviously that's a low-priority issue.

Ah, and now that I've posted, I've run into this thread from May 2023 describing the same bug, as well as a work-around: force reload the browser page right after saving the change. Apparently it's the browser-side client code that messes things up.
