Testing out
FreeNAS-11.2-U2
(Build Date: Feb 14, 2019 15:8)
On a non production test system with four SATA drives plugged in.
Intel Motherboard, (ICH7).

Disks are know to system as
ada0
ada1
ada2
and ada3

On the dashboard page only ada2 reports it's current temperature.

All others (ada0,1,3) show "N/A".

Known issue? bug?

I'm wondering what to try next.

They are all different model/size drives.

And each drive *does* show it's temperature just fine in Windows with any SMART testing software.

Thanks!

Looks like it may be related to SMART data format from the drive itself:
That Min/Max jazz reported by the "non working" looks like it gets in the way
Where the drives that have a single field reading seem to work.
Minor bug maybe?

smartctl -a

ada3 (not working)

194 Temperature_Celsius 0x0002 171 171 000 Old_age Always - 35 (Min/Max 16/41)

ada1 (working)

194 Temperature_Celsius 0x0022 112 097 000 Old_age Always - 35

I may do that.
I am of course curious if anyone else has seen this.
