Did you remove a drive from your NAS repeatedly? If you are not taking this drive out and putting it back in, over and over, you have some kind of hardware fault. Please tell us all about your hardware so we may suggest some troubleshooting steps.

The first thing I would suggest checking is both the power cable to the drive and the data cable. If either of those connections are loose, or defective, it could cause this. Also, what about the power supply? We have seen bad power leads, from the factory, on power supplies.

PS: Silentium PC Supremo L2

I'm currently on build: FreeNAS-11.2-BETA3

The connections are not loose. I think I will switch data cable to see if that solves the problem.

I also got error: freenas savecore: /dev/ada3p1: Operation not permitted

Ok, now the system doesn't want to shutdown.

u just get:

Code:
usm0: detached
ugen0.2: <Logitech USB Optical Mouse> at usbus0
ums0 on uhub0
usm0: <Logitech USB Optical Mouse, class 0/0, rev 2.00/63.00, addr9> on usbus0
ums0: 3 buttons and [XYZ] coordinates ID=0

over and over, but the system doesn't shutdown.

EDIT: Should I just wait? It still didn't shutdown and it's been like 15 minutes.

Ok, I'm not really sure what is going on.

The seagate drive stopped responding and freenas couldn't see it. For a moment i switched it with my old drive with some bad sectors (just for testing), to check if freenas can see it from this port. Everything seemed fine.
I shut it down and tried again with seagate drive with swapped cables (was just respinning. Looks like it's dead). However my new WD drive (less than a week old)also sounded like it was respinning over and over again (but wasn't showing any errors).

Maybe the WD drive was just looking for something i don't know.
I'm shutting the system down until i get new drive so I can start resilvering, then i can check WD drive.

It looks like it was both data cable and hard drive. After changing both, problem stopped.
