CrashPlan setup fail

So I've been trying to get crashplan up and running on another machine and if I update I'm getting the dreaded Shared object "libintl.so.9" not found, required by (insert application name)
or I'm unable to find /var/lib/crashplan/.ui_info so I can copy the key to a local machine and connect to the remote machine.

Anyone have any idea what is going on? I've tried the how to's, I've setup machines before successfully, so it's not something new to me.

I have this exact problem. It's the one step of the guides I haven't been able to follow - and it seems to be the most crucial one, as I found only my changing my local .ui_info on my desktop machine, that it would try to connect to my freenas server.
