Hi there,
I was having a heck of a time getting Crashplan installed, running, updated and UI connected. After more digging around than I ever wanted to do I was wondering if this looks correct.
1. Configure my.service.xml to accept UI connections.
/usr/pbi/crashplan-amd64/share/crashplan/conf/my.service.xml
<serviceUIConfig>
<serviceHost>0.0.0.0</serviceHost>
2. Configure run enviroment to work with FreeNAS.
/usr/pbi/crashplan-amd64/share/crashplan/bin/run.conf
SRV_JAVA_OPTS: Added as first parameter
-Djava.nio.channels.spi.SelectorProvider=sun.nio.ch.PollSelectorProvider
GUI_JAVA_OPTS: Added as first parameter
-Djava.nio.channels.spi.SelectorProvider=sun.nio.ch.PollSelectorProvider
3. Copy ui key to client.
/var/lib/crashplan/.ui_info
Windows:
Copy to C:\ProgramData\CrashPlan\.ui_info
4. UI settings has moved.
Windows:
C:\ProgramData\CrashPlan\conf\ui_<User>.properties
serviceHost=<server IP>
servicePort=4253
#notes:
/usr/pbi/crashplan-amd64/share/crashplan/conf/my.service.xml
servicePort is now fixed at 4253 (it will reset if you change it).

Sure wish they would just leave "stuff" alone :)
