SOLVED CPU Utilisation

Good evening.

I just added a further NIC to my Truenas Scale server, restarted and CPU utilisation was very high. Thinking this was related to the new NIC I downed the server and removed the NIC. Restarted. CPU utilisation is still very high

Oddly enough it's just settled down to it's usual relaxed self, after about 10 minutes.

Though I really would appreciate some pointers of what may have been causing the issue. I think I've attached everything that's needed. Wanting to resolve this due to wanting to virtualise my firewall onto it (hence the new NIC)

Just to update this

DMAR: DRHD: handling fault status reg 2
from dmesg is related to the HP Broadcom network driver and shared memory. (or I disable intel_iommu=on) I'll fix teh shared memory issue, I want IOMMU on for my VM.
[Firmware Bug]: the BIOS has corrupted hw-PMU resources (MSR 38d is 330)
is just for info, rather than having an impact. HP - what more can you say

So I'm not seeing anything of concern in dmesg output.

One of the first things scale does after a reboot is syncing the apps catalogues, which cause high cpu usage.
If you've added truecharts it can take up to 5 minutes.

Thank you. I've never really watched it boot before, I just press the start switch, go make coffee and so on before I look. I'll drop the card back in later and leave it 10 minutes before I look.
