CPU temperature issue

Hello Everyone

I have CPU temperature issue with my new built system on AS -2124US-TNRP, 2xAMD 7713 64core, 1T RAM, 24 NVME SSD. I am using Version: TrueNAS-13.0-U5.3

The CPU temperature showed in IPMI is 40C°, while the CPU temperature showed in the truenas core is high than 90C°.

how can I tune this? any suggestions?

Would the temperature tunable work and wouldn't impact the system stability? @Samuel Tai

• Variable: dev.amdtemp.0.sensor_offset
• Value: Some integer. You'll have to experiment with positive and negative values
• Type: sysctl

ok, it's a freebsd bug, and has been fixed with patch. https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=c1cbabe8ae5702a1e54d62401fe3b58a84fcb3e4

looks ok after applying the tunable for the temperature offset.

when can this patch applied to truenas Core?

As it looks it is in FreeBSD 13.2, already, so will be in CORE 13.1 ...

I'm on CORE 13.1 and am experiencing this issue. Still have to manually offset the sysctl
