Console spammed with same error then reboots constantly

server specs:
2x xeon quad core processors (idk which ones, cant remember)
12 gb ram
5x 4 tb HDDS
1x 128gb ssd (boot drive)


the system keeps on spamming the error:

rrdcached plugin unable to connect to rrdcached

after about 30 seconds the server reboots, any suggestions?

its not a vm

powervault NX3000
12 gb ECC DDR3
duel E5520
integrated NIC (2x 10gbit 2x 1gbit (using eth0, 10gb)
WD Enterprise HDDs 5x 4 tb
ADATA SSD 128 gb

Which version of FreeNAS, and have you tried more than one?

persists on other versions u4.1, u4

stated incorrect cpu before, apologies
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620 @ 2.40GHz (16 cores)

Well, I think if I were you I would try an earlier version also as a test. 11.2 versions seem to have given a lot of issues for some. Version 11.1-U6 had a relatively long run - it's found here https://download.freenas.org/11/11.1-U6/x64/

There is a similar error report on the bug reporting/tracking system, but not associated with a crash, at https://jira.ixsystems.com/browse/NAS-101495, ticket marked as closed. Suggests to me that you should make a bug report. If it were me I would try the 11.1 version anyway to provide more context to the devs.

ill try reverting to an older os in a few days, got a more tech savvy friend coming over tomorrow so ill see if he can have a look for me, i really appreciate the help, im still extremely new to the hardware and root level side of networking and servers, im mainly a web dev by background so am out of my league a bit :P

ill let ya know if i have any updates
