Hi there,
As this is my first post, I apologies for any mistakes.

I have an old Dell Poweredge SC1425 server that I have installed freenas onto a 80GB HDD and put it in there.
When it boots and it brings up the menu, it says underneath 'No configured networks were found . Try it manually'
Previously, I have pressed one and reset the interface and it has worked fine. But now I do that, and it is no longer shows up in finder or in the web browser.
All I want is to be able to access the web interface and connect to it in finder.

Any help would be appreciated

It's likely you're using an unsupported NIC. If your NIC can only do FastEthernet, then you'll need to replace it with a NIC that can do Gigabit. Support for FastEthernet devices were dropped from the kernel.

Well, the spec sheet for that model says it has dual embedded Intel gigabit NICs, which should be just fine.

@whateverNas, what happens when you try to manually configure an interface?

It used to sort the problem and work fine, but now it sometimes still says' No configured interfaces found, other times it shows and IP address, but I still can not connect to it from my Mac.
