I have a background in IT but have never touched FreeNAS. A friend of mine (with minimal technical knowledge) had someone set up FreeNAS for him on an ancient Dell desktop. Anyway, he had a power outage over the weekend and now FreeNAS won't boot. He asked me if I could help, so here I am stuck in the middle of this...

We power on the machine, it goes through a series of tasks then stops at:

/dev/ufs/FreeNASs4: FILE SYSTEM CLEAN; SKIPPING CHECKS
/dev/ufs/FreeNASs4: clean, 38062 free (30 frags, 4754 blocks, 0.1% fragmentation

I let it sit there for an hour, nothing happened. I rebooted a few times, it gets stuck at the same spot. I've spent the last hour googling the problem but can't find anything; it seems like a weird spot to get stuck. Not sure what other pertinent information I can provide.

- I don't know which version of FreeNAS he's running.
- We have a wireless USB mouse/keyboard connected, as well as an ethernet cable, that's it.

Well, after an hour and a half of sitting at that screen it finally finished and is functioning properly again.
