Compatibility issue

Hello, new Freenaser here.

I'm hoping someone can advise please. I have installed a Chelsio T420-CR in my Freenas (Microserver G10+) and I have an Intel X520-1 in my main desktop PC. Both cards are seen by both OS fine, but both showing as link down. They are connected by a "10GBASE-CU Passive Direct Attach Copper Twinax SFP+ Cable".

I would have preferred to buy the same card for both machines but couldn't get one that was the same with correct bracket.

Does anyone know, is this a compatibility thing or is it a software/driver issue?

Update: turned off hardware offloading and it started working. Turned it back on, still working. No idea why!
