I have been searching for a command line or script to restart Directory Services in TrueNAS SCALE 22.02-R2?

I use "midclt call service.restart activedirectory" daily on my TrueNAS Core installation and it works just fine. However, I'm testing SCALE and I can't seem to find a command similar?

any help would be appreciated!

There shouldn't be need to restart directory services in SCALE. What exactly is the symptom you are experiencing that causes you to need to restart in Core?

Wellll…this is an issue that I’ve been dealing with for a couple of years now. I have several customers that use Univention 4.4 as the authentication server. Every day (not at any specific or recurring time) TrueNAS loses connection somehow and users are not able to authenticate to an SMB shares. The only work around is to restart the directory service on the TrueNAS box via a cron task. The Univention server uses the active directory compatible plug-in. I’ve been able to duplicate the issue on several setups and on various hardware.

Have you looked at winbindd logs for when this happens? Perhaps clock is drifting.
