Hello,
I have this system:
Supermicro X11SSL+i with a Epyc 7302P and 32Gb of ram, using the onboard sas controller in IT mode
I have a remote machine that i use for backups. This machine is Debian OS with Proxmox backup server installed on it because I use it also for VMs backups.
I set up a dataset in the remote machine to send backups from Truenas. Works no problem but sometimes the log of the task fills up the ram and crashes everything because they are in ram.
The task is done via SSH in PUSH mode from the local Truenas Server
What I can do to fix this?
I though to:
- Option 1: move the logs into a dataset somehow, not sure if its feasible
- Option 2: less verrbose output on the task, didnt find any option to do this
- Option 3: use another backup system
- Option 4: clear the logs if they reach X GB
Any suggestion?
