Before everyone jumps on me, here's some info.

X9SRI-3F SuperMicro Motherboard on board gigabit dual NIC w/ XEON E5-2609
x 2 6GB/S SATA+SAS PCIE 2.0 LSI Controllers set to (JBOD)
64GB DDR3 ECC RAM
24 Western Digital Red Hard Drives
Boot Drive - Samsung SSD

I have also read numerous posts these last 2 weeks, and no tuning options have changed the performace (everything is back to a fresh install).

Before I moved to FreeNAS I was running OpenIndiana + Nappit -same SMB performance.

Everything is on a full gigabit network with CAT6.

I reach a maximum of 15 MB/s through SMB am I crazy or is this stupid slow, and what should I look at first? Or even refer me to some posts that could be of huge help.

Thanks so much for the help guys,
Geoff

Not too surprised that Windows would have a problem. That's why I recommend people try Linux. I have always gotten higher speeds with older hardware on Mint than I did on far faster hardware with Windows.
