Hi,
I recently replaced my old QNAP NAS with a Microserver running FreeNAS 8.3. It was used to backup about ~700gb of data nightly, but since I installed FreeNAS I haven't been able to get a reliable backup during the night because everyday at 6am it appears that the FreeNAS performs some routine maintenance or something and interrupts any CIFS file transfers currently in process. It only appears to happen at this time, as the NAS is used during working hours without any issues arising.
I haven't yet been able to track down the cause of the problem - there is no indication in /var/log/messages of any trouble at all. (Only message posted between 1-7am is ntpclient updates).
Any ideas?
Thanks
kpx
