Recently we've been having problems with CIFS and mac clients. Our previous configuration worked just fine prior to upgrading to 9.3.
We have 1 dataset setup, with 2 users. The owner is user A and this specific user can access all files read/write/execute.
User B has access to read/execute on all folders except for 2, on those two folders user B can read/write/execute.
However it appears that ONLY on mac with USER B, whenever users create a folder and transfer files, the files will not have the execute bit set, so both windows and mac clients are unable to view the files even though they have actually successfully transferred. When we recursively set the execute bit for owner of that folder, both windows and mac clients will be able to see all files again.
Some other debugging data, it looks like when the files are in flight all the permissions are fine, but right when the transfer finishes mac appears with an error -8084 / permissions error.
Any ideas ?
