Hi

I've been running a free nas file server for about a year and love it...its awesome. I've put a chelsio t520-cr card in the freenas box and i notice it loads a boot rom. What is it for? is it needed? i can live with it on the freenas box but i have a second card for my windows machine and would prefer no boot rom was loaded before the windows boot. Im hoping someone might know what my options are? can it be disabled. i've looked through the options and i dont see anything that might suggest it can be done. I've also looked through the manual but i dont see anything obvious.... though im no expert!

thanks
Paul

Typically you can disable boot ROM loading in the host BIOS.
