Changing the Active directory to another possible preserving permission?

I currently have TrueNAS set up with the domain name 'gxdomain.local,' but I'd like to transition it to 'rxdomain.local.' My concern is how to ensure that folder permissions remain unchanged during this transition. Can anyone provide guidance on maintaining folder permissions during the domain name change?
