I tried to use MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition to copy the partitions/information from my current USB HDD (125 GB WD External) to a 4 GB Cruzer Fit (New) after formatting and re-partitioning it to NTFS. I then attempted to boot my FreeNAS system from the Cruzer Fit and it just had a blinking line with a black screen. So I put in my original usb HDD and it still loaded like normal. It made it look like the drives had the same partitions and used space but didn't work. Although, the original usb HDD did not show up in Hard drive disk section under *Computer* and after the copy the Cruzer didn't either making me think that it worked!

My question being, "Is there a way to copy/transfer the OS/current setting on my original USB HDD to a new USB device.

I did some searching but maybe used the wrong keywords or didn't know what to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance, Nate

Backup the configuration using the webgui, do a fresh install and restore the configuration.
