Not sure this got very widely covered, but I just got caught out by this:

Windows 10 will no longer permit Guest login, or fall back to Guest login with SMB2.

My pet theory on this is that it's because SMB clients can now write to azure cloud. You don't want an easy avenue to MITM the SMB protocol, which is what this behavior provides.
