Case Fans Ramping Up and Down

Hi all,

I have just installed some new Artic F12 PWM fans in my case. When i select any other fan profile than 'Full' in the IMPI 'Fan control menu', all the fans ramp up to full and then reduce to min, and so on. Motherboard is a Supermicro X11. Any Ideas??

You need to adjust the threshold speed

Chris, i did find a thread where someone was changing the threshold speed, but i couldnt get the 'ipmitool -I lanplus -H nas-sol -U ADMIN -P ADMIN sensor thresh FAN1 lower 300 300 400' to work as it was saying IMPItool could not be found.

This was from the shell though, would i need to stop the boot into freenas and do it at the command line there?

So i eventually got this working, i found out i had to reset the BMC every time to get the monitoring to work correctly. Thanks all
