Can't run 'ip' command in CentOS jail

I'm running FreeNAS 9.2 Release. I created a CentOS 6.4 jail and I can't run the 'ip' command, for instance 'ip addr' and 'ip show' both fail with the message:
Cannot open netlink socket: Address family not supported by protocol

Not sure whether it's a bug or just something's that's not supported. Any insight would be appreciated.

These commands aren't supported. Any networking has to occur in the GUI editing screen of the Linux jail.
