Can't login with root user

For some reason I can't seem to login through the web interface with the root user. When I login to ssh I can su with the same password, without a problem. Could it be that 2FA is broken? Still worked on monday, had power outage and logged in to enter the pool decryption keys.

Tried both firefox and chromebrowser neither will allow me to log on, so I don't think it's browser related.

I still got root access on ssh is there something I can do from there?

If I reset the password on ipmi console (7) will that remove change the password of the webinterface as well and maybe remove 2FA?

I have 2FA through yubi keys both don't work ???

Never mind it did disable 2FA just did reset and everything seems to work, strange that it got corrupted?
EDIT: just tried enableing 2FA and infact 2FA is what doesn't work !?

Only after rebooting the system 2FA worked again !?
