Can't disable watch folder for Transmission

I want to disable the watch folder, but FreeNAS won't let me. In FreeNAS gui, watch folder cannot be left blank. I tried editing the settings file by setting watch-dir-enabled to false and watch-dir to "", but they both reset after Transmission starts.

Not a fix - but can you set the watch folder destination to a different directory? I don't use the transmission plugin but this could be a workaround.

I'm trying to reduce the times the hard drive wakes up. There's no mention anywhere how often Transmission checks the watch directory. SABnzbd default interval is 5 seconds, but at least I was able to leave the directory blank. I never use the watch directory feature. Changing to a different directory does not solve what I'm trying to accomplish.
