I tried to follow instructions on doing an upgrade but everyone except me gets the Truenas Control setup after the initial Truenas boot menu. I tried and can not get it to show up. I was trying to go from Freenas 12 to Truenas. Now it shows its booting Truenas from the usb which I dont want, but want it installed. Any help?

Why don't you just upgrade from the UI?

How did you prepare your USB stick for installation?

Possibly you are just puzzled because the second menu does not appear right away? The first picture is the boot loader. After the countdown or when you press ENTER, a complete FreeBSD system boots. This will take 2-3 minutes. And at the end of that boot process the installer menu will appear.

D/L iso from site, created bootable usb with Rufus. Installed USB, Booted PC. I have now been able to install the update .

I followed this video to the T.
Windows sees the folder, but wont accept ANY password.

This is a different issue? Then I suggest you open a new thread and mark this one as solved.
