Have been able to access the Freenas from my home office for months. Last week we had some OCR software installed that required us to to join our office Freenas to windows AD. Now I cannot access and shares on it from my home office over our ptp vpn tunnel.

I can access the web gui and it pings. I get prompted for user/pass, but nothing I seem to put it gets me access.

Try using <netbiosname_of_server>\<username> for authentication.
if your truenas server's netbiosname is "truenas" and local username is "bob", "truenas\bob".

That worked! Thank you so much! So I imagine I need to change the Rsync settings too then. We have another "backup" freenas in my home office that I was pulling a specific folder from once a week. Since the AD changes it has failed and I figured the two were related.
