Hey there,
i have two kinds of datasets in truenas. One that is a network drive for windows users the other is for backups using veeam backup and replication.
Since my upgrade too scale I'm using AD for the windows user authentication (couldn't get that running in core). But now I have troubles accessing the backup dataset. This was owned by a dedicated user only setup in truenas called backup. since I upgraded to scale, this user got renamed to backup_1.
However, I can't access the dataset via smb share, I always get incorrect password (which is coming from a vaultwarden vault, so it can't be a typo).
Then I thought, maybe its searching for the backup_1 user in the AD and I stripped the acl for the dataset and replaced it with one from the AD. Now if I connect to the smb share with the user administrator, a new dataset under the dataset backup is created, called administrator, which is practically empty.
Not sure, whats's going on here. Any hint or help is greatly appreciated!
