Cannot connect with APC Back-UPS Pro

[HAL 9000]

I'm trying to connect FreeNAS-8.0.4-BETA2 with APC Back-UPS Pro.
It is connected to serial port using apcsmart driver.
When trying to start UPS service i get following messages:

FreeNAS 0.7 communicate with this UPS without problems.

I've found this ticket: http://support.freenas.org/ticket/641 - it seems that this issue should be fixed now?
