I recently was having some issues with my freenas server that ended with me deleting the windows smb share and recreating it. That cleared up my problems, but it reverted all my permissions back to default. this means I can read files from it, but I'm not able to write to it. I usually the security tab in the properties menu for the computer in windows file explorer. However, when I tried to make any changes I got the error, "windows is unable to enumerate objects in a container, access is denied". Any suggestions on how to get this working? I'm using freenas 9.10.2

Please read the forum rules and try to follow them.

Hardware specs and freenas version required wherever posting.

Also include screenshots of your share config and dataset config.

sorry sir, I have actually read the rules and just forgot about putting in hardware specs as I was in a hurry. in case you didn't notice I did put the version umber in the original post. If you have a solution and need the specs then I would be glad to post them

And what happens when you access the share with the nobody user or a user in the shared group?

After you connect run smbstatus on the cli in freenas. You will probably need to use SSH to get all the output. Post it to pastebin and provide the link here.
