I've bought a new X10-SLH-F motherboard and don't have a CPU for it yet. I plugged in the board by itself to check the BIOS information on the UEFI. Can this board run a Xeon E3-1231v3 without needing up update. Screenshot below. I believe it will be able to, but I'd like a double-check!

Yes. BIOS 2.0 or later supports Haswell Refresh. BIOS 3.0 or later supports Broadwell.

And there's a good chance you can talk Supermicro support into giving you a software key to do a remote BIOS upgrade if you buy a Broadwell CPU. The BIOS on most newish Supermicro boards can be updated through the IPMI interface. They usually sell the key for that capability for ~$20.
