Can I use FreeNAS to create a cron job to connect to remote server and download backups automatically?

Can I use FreeNAS to create a cron job that will connect to a remote Linux server via SFTP and pull down files using rsync (for example)?
The reason I'm asking is because, I have a remote server that makes backups every night, and every morning I have to manually download those files. So, I would like to automate the process.
