It has persisted from FreeNAS 9.2 to 9.3, the consequent driver and firmware updates, replaced PSU, replaced data cables and replacement of power cables to drive bays. The only thing I have left on my to-try list is affixing a fan to cover the HBA controller. Aside from this, I am out of ideas.

I really wish I could squash this once and for all.

P20.0.0.06 or whatever they call the new version?

LSI's current firmware/driver release model is seriously broken. Mismatched version numbers, unclear point point revisions, ...

I already have enough problems and don't think it will fix my problem. I'll probably update once I see other users updating to it without issue.

I wish that I could narrow the scope of my issue. I want to build another FreeNAS box but am hesitant until I get this resolved.

Just an opinion for those that "care what I think or have knowledge of"... I don't think there's any reason to upgrade from the 20.00.04 that really matters. TrueNAS servers are still on 20.00.04 and there is no upgrade currently in the works to go to 20.00.06 or 20.00.07 that I know of. :P

As a result, I'm still on 20.00.04 on all of my systems and I plan to stay there. ;)

I know this is an aged post, but are you still seeing these issues? Just trying to correlate some data to see if I can spot a trend...

I never resolved the problem.

Sorry to hear that, so are you running FreeNAS at this point or have you gone another route?

I still believe in FreeNAS and am actually building a new box, but this time using a Supermicro case. If this turns out alright, I'll redo my first box.
