Does anyone have opinions or knowledge regarding reporting and calculating typical or average write sizes for your system?
In my head, without trying to micro analyze every single workload from every single VM hitting the machine, I was curious how viable taking the throughput of writes to all the SLOG drives and dividing the sum by the sum of the OPS per second for the same drives. That would give you an average write size for the SLOG, and maybe a good snapshot of your workload under "normal" conditions, if that was every possible to define?
I also pulled that data into a histo chart so I can track and and compare it to know activities or scheduled jobs throughout the network, so I'm just hoping I didn't wildly misinterpret something?
