botched upgrade to TrueNas core

Failed to read the upgrade notes before hand resulting in this situation. Can I attempt to add the geli key by disconnecting then adding the pool with the key without risk of data loss?
what would be next option if the pool still does not unlock?

I would think you can export and then re-import the pool. When you get to the step of "Does the pool have GELI Encryption from FreeNAS/TrueNAS 11.3 or earlier?", simply choose "Yes", and load the key.

If I reinstall True nas core and remove the imported config file would that increase odds of importing the pools in the expected manner allowing then decryption?

after an update and reset of configuration, I was able to import the old pool. only problem is that not all drives were able to be selected for decryption? ada0 was not offered to be selected. any clues on how to fix this?

any help is always appreciated, thank you!!!!!!!!!!
