As a newbie I got a fairly inexpensive system for my first FreeNAS with following specs:
THE WORKAROUND
In the UEFI of the motherboard you have to disable C-States and enable CSM.
Every time you boot in FreeNAS you have to edit GRUB, that is the little window where you can choose how you want to boot.
So if get to GRUB you have to press e and add following Lines:
When you get in the Web GUI you can add the parameters (without kFreeBSD.) under System->Tunables, so you do not have to add them every time your NAS reboots.......
