Bhyve VNC Unable To Connect

11.1-RC3 and TightVNC

It used to work but after trying some Nightlies and switching back the VNC stopped working. The port is also not opening even though it says the VM started and VNC started on port XXXX. I just need the VNC to fix the GRUB/Debian issue. Afterwards I will control the VM via SSH.

I can confirm this problem... worked on RC1. Fresh install with RC3 seems to have broken VNC connections somehow.

For some of mine (assuming you are using VNC Viewer from RealVNC)

I had to go into the Properties -> Options Tab -> Change the Picture Quality to Medium
I also changed the "Scaling" to "Scale to Fit Window".

Oddly I had to change these settings initially, and everything worked. But just recently I had to reset them before it started working again.

I asked in the bug ticket, too: does anyone know how to manually patch the older library version into an RC3 installation? Would be the quickest workaround, I figure ... since RC1 is not recommended for production use.
