I have configured Pfsense to run inside of Bhyve. Pfsense has 3 VLANs attached to a single Virtio NIC: 1,40,50. The port on the switch has no PVID and will not remove the default VLAN tag. Adding a VLAN 1 to the Host will not allow the Pfsense VLAN 1 to communicate with the Host VLAN 1 unless they are both bound to separate NICs. The internal switch used by FreeNAS does not seem to route VLANs.
Anyone have any idea how to allow internal VLAN traffic routing? Ports don't grow on trees and I want to save on power by not using a standalone server for Pfsense.
