Best plugin to sync folders on 2 computers?

Hey guys,

I just got my first FreeNAS setup working. Took me some time to get everything working. especially my plex server.
But thats not what i am here for.

My previous storage solution was a QNAP TS-431P and I used Qsync to sync a folder between my computer and my laptop.
That was great, because that would allow me to work on something on my laptop and then finish it later on my computer without the need of a USB Stick.
As my Server is only reachable from my home network just storing the data on the server isn't enough. It needs to be synced everytime my laptop connects to the network.

So whats the best way to accomplish that in FreeNAS ?

Can you use a SMB share and enable offline files on Windows? That's how most big shops do it.
