im still testing/learning FN and various configs. but here are some benchmarks i made (mainly for myself, so sorry for the obnoxious pict size)
(im only testing SYNC=ALWAYS writes and tests are run from a separate machine with a single direct 10gbit (dac) to this FN machine, both are physical/bare-metal machines (no vm))

spoiler:
- FN 11.2 is ~ +10% faster vs 11.1 (in this specific test type) (awesome!)
- using 1333mhz ecc ram vs 1033mhz ecc ram is good for ~ +15% improvement *only* on reads / ARC , of course. (maybe + 2% on writes, if that)

hw:
X9DR3-LN4F+ (latest bios 3.3) , 128gb ECC 1033mhz QVL ram (4x32gb sticks) (or 4x 4gb sitcks of ecc 1333mhz ram, when stated),
2x e5-2620v1 cpus (or v2 when stated).
LSI SAS 9207-8i (no expander in use yet , just direct attach to 8x bays)
+ using 2x of the on MB intel c606 based sata ports
+ using 8x of the on MBintel c606 based SAS/SATA SCU
Most disks are 3tb and 4tb HGST 7k4 's (some HUS - sas some HUA- sata)
a 4u 24bay ( direct attached backplane, 846-TQ)
CHELSIO T520-CR (2x 10g sfp+) , same on other side win 2012 r2 system

pool under test here (just a test layout from other benchmarks i was running):
12x HDDs in a single RDz1 pool, no striping (all are 3tb or 4TB hgst HUS or HUA drives)
+ 1x HGST SLC SSD SLOG (HUSMM1620ASS204) - at sas2 , not its full sas3 bc i dont have sas3 controller

SYNC = ALWAYS , Atime= OFF
