I installed FreeNas 9.2.1.2 - release x64 (002022c) on a new box, put 5 x 3TB drives in it and created a 7.9TB ZFS volume.. I left the unit unused for a few days (the drives are brand new, as is the SAS9220 HBA card) and I noticed tons of "bad block [num], ino 7" messages. I searched online and in the forums, saw some discussions of what this may mean - bad disks, sectors that need to be remapped etc. Is there a clear course of action for this?

Thanks -

Yes, run SMART tests on your disks and check out the SMART parameters on your drives. One(or more) are probably going to be red-flags of failing. That disk(s) need to then be replaced. If you don't know how to run the tests or check parameters the forum has plenty of examples if you search around. I've probably told more than 40 people just this year how to do both.
