I am happily virtualizing TrueNas on Proxmox and backing up my vm's to zfs pool on truenas via nfs.... Yep you guessed it the momment it feezes truenas for backup weirdly enough the nfs share disapears .

Simple enough to solve I am backing up to local ssd but i was wondering is it possible to tell proxmox to make the snapshot then resume vm THEN copy it to nfs share?
I just don't like to have a custom script moving the backups afherwards

I didn't know the answer to this very question, so I'm just backing that up on another disk. Although, to be honest I don't even care that much about the truenas vm's backup, because all I truly need is the truenas config file, so in case of a failure I can reinstall it super quick.
