Backup to external network drive

I have a Freenas system with 2 x 2TB harddrives in raid and a third 2TB harddrive for weekly backup.
I also still have a iomega "Home Media Network Hard Drive".

I would like to automatically back up my data for example once a month to the external network drive.

Is there a way to do this?

(my 'local' backups are done with a cron job - rsync)

Some of the iomegas support rsync, not sure about the home media devices. Suggest trying to figure out a compatible rsync strategy.
