Automatic decryption and standby

Hi,

I have set up my NAS with FreeNAS. The only things that are not working are the following.

I encrypted my devices so that nobody who steals the NAS would have instant access. Now the problem is, that I have to manually decrypt the Volumes ans have to start Jails/Plugins manually as well. Is there any way how this can be overcome?

2nd questions would be, i there any real standby state of freenas? I guess HDDs are spinning down, but fans do not stop to work. ideal state would be having a "real" standby that wakes up if you want to access the data.

Yeah, I don't think this is the right solution for you.

Die instantly return to free nas.
From what I habe read I need an init script for auto standby/hibernate - can some experienced user give advice?
