authenticating freenas openldap TLS

Good day everyone,

I'm new to FreeNAS and im trying to authenticate FreeNAS with Open LDAP using tls,

Ive search the forum for how to's and search google for it but all i can found is the active directory tutorials but on ldap theres a few but not detailed and tested what information that i gathered and when im trying to turn on the directory services it says "The service could not be started." and im wondering why it cant start and my guess is that there is something wrong with my inputs in the the fields in the ldap,



in the fields i really dont know if im populating the fields right.
also when i tried to turn on the directory services the CIFS turn on instead.

when i tried to make an ldap search in the shell in the web gui it returns results.

also the error says this i didnt enter all the errors becuase its too long


if anyone know how to solve this please let me know

Did you select a certificate file to use? The screenshot of the config doesn't show one.

yes sir inserted a certificate a couple of times but when ever it says its updated i dont know what happen to the certificate

That "TLS" box is referring to Start TLS. So you need to do it on a LDAP port not LDAPS.
