Attempting to connect sata optical drive

Hello everyone, Truenas newbie here. I just built a system to run as an all in one plex server and disk ripper box. As of writing this I have successfully (I think) set up the plex app and my data pools. I have installed the make mkv app from truecharts as well. I can't seem to figure out how to get make mkv (or Truenas scale for that matter) to detect my optical drive. In addition to this my drive is not flashed, so that may present issues later but I can always connect it to my windows machine to flash it before returning it to my nas.

I have an LG BU40N for my drive. The rest of the system is an i5-9600k, two WD Red plus 8tb nas drives in mirror, a tb NVME for apps, and 64gb of 3200 ddr4.
