Hi dlavigne, thank you for the heads up. I've found a feature request number 915 that is closed, it refers to 807, which is also closed, neither related entirely to the request/problem.

Could it be in that case that this is a bug and not a feature request?

I would suggest a separate feature request that asks for the ability to add an IP address, as in the instructions in your other post.

Hi MrKz,

I think I have my filers monitoring my SmartUPS via SNMP. The way I got it working wasn't very obvious, but I'll take a look when I'm local to the systems and see what I did.

Hi Will! I did get it working, but the main problem was I couldn't pass the IP address to the ups.conf file, the GUI defaults to a physical port, so although I could select the snmp-ups driver, it wouldn't work :/

I made a mistake by not noticing the drop down box was also a box you can enter free text, so you CAN edit the box and add the IP directly, not just select one of the options in the drop down.

My bad :(
