Hello - i’m having a bit of trouble trying setting up my APC Back-UPS Pro 1500 to work with my FreeNAS box. I’d like the APC to send a signal to my FreeNAS to shutdown in X seconds if there’s a power failure. This was working properly until my recent move. I never changed any of the settings, however obviously has changed.

What I’ve done so far: I thought that perhaps the cable I used previously had gone bad during the move because the casing showed some wear and tear. I replaced it with APC ap9827 940-0127B Simple Signaling UPS USB Cable NEW RJ50 RJ45 I purchased online. This has not stopped the annoying emails I receive every 5 minutes saying “NOCOMM - ups”. I’m baffled on what to do.

FreeNAS Specs:
Build: FreeNAS-9.2.0-RELEASE-x64 (ab098f4)
PlatformIntel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G3220 @ 3.00GHz
Memory16323MB
Load Average0.05, 0.10, 0.08

When I go to Services > UPS - here are those settings:
Driver: APC ups 2 Back-UPS Pro USB USB (usbhid-ups)
Port: /dev/ugen1.4
Shutdown mode: UPD goes on battery
Shutdown timer: 180

I’m not really sure on what to do next. Any advice would be great. I’m sorry if this isn’t the correct forum.
