Any specific boot USB drives you recommend?

I have been using USB pendrives to boot everything for a long time (FreeNAS, Xenserver, ESXi) but I am now in need of a new batch of USB drives as the ones I have are getting too old to feel comfortable anymore.

Avoiding Kingston ones since I have had some bad experiences with them, are there any usb pendrives that you would particularly recommend to be used as boot devices?

The SanDisk ones seem good from the limited experience I have had with them so far, but there are quite a few models out there so I wanted to check your recommendations for this specific use case since I need quite a few of them.

Lots of the forum members use the SanDisk Cruser Fit model.
iirc our esteemed @DrKK has over a dozen deployments with
these exact thumb drives and no failures reported.

Great, thanks for the recommendation, I will go with a bunch of those then ;)

By the way, I take it there would be no improvement in using USB 3.0 drives over these then?
